Looking for Sr. resources. Candidates need to do an AgenticAI Assignment before the interview. Ideally looking for candidates who comes from a strong programming background ideally Java. Important: Please only submit candidates that come from programming background (Java or Python programming background)...Not looking for Data Engineers or Data Scientist...Need to have programming background and then progressed into AI roles. Candidates have to do Assessment upfront. It is about 90 minutes assessment. So, please talk to candidates about the assessment and if they are not ready for Assessment, then do not submit. Whoever completes the Assessment first will be set up for the interview first. Senior AI Platform Engineer with strong Java/Python background, hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions (AI agents, MCP servers), integrating AI into SDLC, and expertise in prompt engineering, DevOps, and developer productivity tooling. Description: Internal Developer Platform serves as a cornerstone for innovation, enabling Research & Development teams to efficiently build, deliver, and scale healthcare solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior Developer to join our AI Dev Tools & Solutions team. This position is dedicated to enhancing the developer experience through AI-driven automation, either by designing custom-built agents or implementing industry-leading AI tools. The successful candidate will focus on developing AI Agents and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to facilitate intelligent automation across our internal platform. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to expedite software delivery and advance the developer experience organization-wide. Responsibilities also include assessing market AI tools for potential integration and establishing frameworks to encourage effective adoption within Athena. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement agentic AI solutions to automate development workflows, emphasizing model validation, explainability, security, and ethical AI.
  • Develop scalable MCP servers and clients to strengthen our AI infrastructure.
  • Design and integrate AI-powered enhancements into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to bolster code quality, security, and developer productivity.
  • Establish and advocate best practices for prompt engineering in developer tools and editors.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies, ensuring compliance with responsible AI principles and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with platform and product teams to incorporate AI capabilities into existing pipelines and toolchains.
  • Maintain exemplary standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews to promote continuous improvement.
  • Make strategic architectural decisions that balance scalability, performance, security, and the developer experience.
  • Draft and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate onboarding, troubleshooting, and inter-team collaboration.
  • Embed security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including threat modelling and compliance assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven track record in developing and deploying agentic AI solutions for workflow automation.
  • Proficiency with Agentic AI SDKs and familiarity with relevant frameworks.
  • Advanced programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
  • Expertise in prompt engineering and in defining organizational standards for AI-assisted development.
  • Experience with configuring and managing MCP servers and clients.
  • History of integrating AI tools into the SDLC and evaluating their impact on productivity and quality.
  • In-depth understanding of DevOps methodologies, DORA metrics, and developer productivity tools.
  • Familiarity with Windsurf or similar agentic AI code editors is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive, ownership-oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration across engineering, product, and platform divisions.
