Job Description:
Summary:
The Promotions Analytics Manager is responsible for the analytics that drive the company's promotions program, which runs on a monthly, ongoing basis. This role owns analytics targeting, offer optimization, measurement, and performance reporting across the full promotional lifecycle. Working primarily in Databricks, the Promotions Analytics Manager builds and maintains the data pipelines, targeting models, and measurement frameworks used to decide which customers receive which offers, to optimize offer structure and value, and to quantify incremental impact. In each monthly promotion cycle, this person defines targeting and test/control groups, designs the measurement methodology, monitors in-flight performance, and delivers post-promotion reporting to senior management with clear read-outs on incrementality, ROI, and lift. Responsibilities also include developing internal analytics capabilities, establishing rigorous measurement standards, and leading and developing a team of analysts who deliver the program's targeting, optimization, measurement, and reporting. The Promotions Analytics Manager is expected to stay up-to-date on new methods, data sources, and analysis techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts responsible for targeting, offer optimization, measurement, and performance reporting, setting priorities and quality standards across each monthly promotions cycle
  • Own analytics targeting for the monthly promotions program, building and maintaining the models and datasets that determine which customers receive which offers, with two goals in mind:
  • Maximize program ROI through data-driven targeting and offer selection
  • Deepen understanding of customer behavior and offer responsiveness to sharpen future targeting
  • Empower analysts to produce high-quality insights through the development of reusable targeting tools and measurement methodologies
  • Lead offer optimization for each monthly promotion cycle, designing and refining offer structure, value, and eligibility to improve response and profitability
  • Design and own the measurement methodology for the promotions program, including test/control and holdout design, incrementality and lift measurement, and A/B testing standards
  • Deliver monthly performance reporting, producing post-promotion read-outs and dashboards that quantify incrementality, ROI, redemption, and lift for senior management
  • Build and maintain promotions data pipelines and analytical datasets in Databricks, and stay current on new analytics methods, data sources, and tools

Education & Experience:
  • Master's degree in a technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university
  • 7-10+ years of experience in data analytics, marketing/promotions analytics, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, SQL, notebooks, Delta Lake) for large-scale data processing and analytics
  • Proficiency in Data Science Techniques: clustering, regression, classification, uplift/propensity modeling, and anomaly detection
  • Strong measurement methodology experience: experimental design, test/control and holdout groups, incrementality and lift measurement, A/B testing, and causal inference
  • Experience managing and developing a team of analysts or data scientists
  • Good to have: experience with MLOps and with building agentic solutions
