Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Engineer (Senior-Level) TS/SCI Clearance Required | Support NGA Mission Success

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the broader National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG). In this role, you will apply advanced modeling, simulation, and analytical techniques to evaluate complex systems, identify trends in large-scale data environments, and help shape the future of GEOINT capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to influence mission-critical decisions and deliver innovative solutions that directly support national security operations.

Your Role

As a Senior MS&A Engineer, you will lead the development and application of sophisticated modeling and simulation solutions used to analyze NGA architectures, requirements, and system performance. You will work across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments to evaluate alternatives, assess emerging capabilities, and provide data-driven recommendations that improve mission effectiveness. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and serve as a trusted technical advisor on complex GEOINT-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and application of complex models, simulations, tools, and algorithms to identify trends and patterns within large-scale data environments.
  • Analyze and model NGA architectures, systems, requirements, and performance to support current and future GEOINT capabilities.
  • Develop and evaluate analysis of alternatives (AoA), performance trades, and design trade studies to inform technology and mission decisions.
  • Create models supporting the assessment and deployment of new capabilities within NSG architectures and cloud-based environments.
  • Provide technical recommendations based on simulation and analytical results to improve mission performance.
  • Assess solutions operating across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, engineers, and mission partners to define requirements and operational needs.
  • Guide and mentor mid-level and junior MS&A engineers, promoting technical excellence and best practices.
  • Support strategic initiatives aligned with NGA and NSG objectives for the future of GEOINT.
Required Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Engineering
    • Engineering Management
    • Management Information Systems
    • Mathematics
    • Related STEM discipline

OR

  • Four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree

OR

  • Two (2) additional years of relevant experience with a non-STEM degree
Experience
  • 12+ years of experience modeling large, complex:

    • Systems of Systems (SoS)
    • Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA)
    • Cloud-based, hybrid, or on-premises environments
  • Experience developing and utilizing modeling and simulation tools in cloud environments.

Clearance Requirement
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain SCI eligibility and successfully complete a polygraph.
Desired Qualifications Advanced Education
  • Master's degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Engineering

    • Management Information Systems
    • Mathematics
    • Related STEM field
Technical Expertise
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies, tools, and languages.
  • Experience with Machine Learning concepts and applications.
  • 12+ years of Operations Research experience.
  • Experience performing MS&A on solutions utilizing:
    • Cloud-based technologies
    • Structured and unstructured Big Data
    • Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence (AAI) capabilities
Leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Experience leading complex analytical efforts supporting mission-critical systems.
