Job description

Prologue is partnering with an award-winning fundraising team in Charlotte NC to find a dynamic and experienced Director of Fundraising.
The Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Fundraising will oversee all fundraising efforts-individual giving, grants, corporate partnerships, donor communications, and special campaigns. You'll work cross-functionally with the leadership team to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities and ensure a strong, sustainable revenue pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across multiple revenue streams
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
  • Write and oversee grant proposals, reports, and applications
  • Lead annual fundraising campaigns, donor appeals, and event-based giving initiatives
  • Partner with Marketing/Comms to develop compelling donor messaging and materials
  • Track fundraising KPIs and report on progress to leadership and the board
  • Manage donor database (CRM) to ensure accurate reporting and segmentation
  • Identify new funding opportunities and stay ahead of philanthropic trends
  • Supervise development staff and/or interns, as applicable

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with a strong track record in major gifts, grants, and donor strategy
  • Exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to build relationships with donors, foundations, and stakeholders
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomerang, or similar)
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and campaigns simultaneously
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, compliance, and donor stewardship models
  • A genuine passion for humanitarian and social impact work

Nice to Have:
  • Local to Charlotte or deep knowledge of the regional philanthropic landscape
  • Prior experience managing or building a small development team
  • Background in international relief, refugee services, or disaster response is a plus

Compensation: Up to $110,000 + full benefits
