Job Description

The Project Manager provides the planning, coordination, and direction for project management activities to ensure they meet owner needs, specifications, cost, and schedule. Maintains management and project facilitation for the successful completion per compliance, contractual, owner, and Vanir requirements. May supervise administrative and field staff. May serve through Pre-Design, Design, Procurement, Construction and Closeout phases.

This position supports a project in Chile.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, contractors/subcontractors, or otherprojectrelated entities.
  • Ensures project closeout and documentation meets all contractual requirements for final project deliveryto owner entities.
  • Ensures compliance to project requirements of contracts, design and construction management, projectsystems and delivery, and construction documents and specifications.
  • Develops project specific procedures, documentation, contract and related Design and Constructionmanagement systems for the project.
  • Manage project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures.
  • Coordinates, directs and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects andrelated performing entities.
  • Provide management of project logistics, organization, systems, and resources.
  • Ensures project management plan and procedures manuals are developed in accordance with contractrequirements.
  • Lead in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant informationand statuses, and follow-up on actions items of all participants.
  • Primary contact and liaison for owner and principle partner entities for the contract, design, systems,procedures and related deliverables.
  • Represent owner, Vanir and related parties in public forums and meetings.
  • Consistently follows the organization's safety policy, promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture.
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required (Extensive relevant project management experience in place of education may be considered)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Justice or Correctional sector is required.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in Spanish is required

  • Architectural background is required

  • Knowledge and application of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, contracts and delivery methods are required
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera are required
  • Proficiency with various document control systems, as well as new construction and modernization is preferred
  • Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer is preferred
  • Certified Construction Manager preferred
