The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong industrial electrical background who enjoys solving problems and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Preferred
  • Experience working with 120V, 240V, and 480V electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology, or related field
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automated manufacturing equipment

Knowledge & Skills
  • Motors, pumps, conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, and valves
  • Electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Computer skills for maintenance documentation and work order systems

JOB DUTIES:
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and production systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 480V, including 3-phase power
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment and utilities
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, pumps, valves, and control systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Support automation and control systems troubleshooting
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
  • Assist with facility maintenance and equipment improvements
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
  • Follow all food safety, quality, and safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as needed
  • Ability to work weekends, overtime, and occasional call-ins as required
  • Ability to operate lifts and other maintenance-related equipment safely
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as hand wrenches, welders, power tools, cutting torch, and tape measure
  • Ability to operate all plant and office equipment necessary to accomplish job duties
  • Ability to drive and maintain a valid driver license
  • Ability to utilize basic math skills, including a variety of calculations
  • Ability to legibly document data for record keeping purposes
  • Ability to read and record data from various gauge.
  • Analytical ability related to complex information and problem solving
  • Ability to implement all safety procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information through use of written documentation or oral presentation
  • Knowledge of organizational methods and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Ability to recognize food safety violations or product quality issues and resolve immediately or, if unable to resolve, notify Plant Manager and/or the Quality Control Supervisor
  • Ability to assist other work-related areas as requested
