Job description

Dwellings | The Bathroom Company is looking for an organized, knowledgeable, and proactive Project Manager to help oversee residential remodeling projects throughout the Sioux Falls area.

This is not strictly a desk position. You will spend much of your time visiting job sites, coordinating employees and subcontractors, monitoring quality, solving problems, and keeping multiple projects moving forward. You will also assist with scheduling, permits, inspections, documentation, and communication between our field teams and management.

Key ResponsibilitiesJob-Site Management
  • Visit multiple active project sites throughout the day.
  • Monitor daily progress and ensure work follows the project schedule.
  • Check in with employees and subcontractors to clarify expectations and deadlines.
  • Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe job sites.
  • Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper PPE use.
  • Document progress, concerns, and necessary follow-up.
  • Maintain positive relationships with employees, subcontractors, customers, and trade partners.
Quality and Construction Coordination
  • Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Confirm installations follow approved plans, building codes, manufacturer requirements, and company standards.
  • Identify incorrect installations, material defects, structural concerns, and other potential problems before they affect the project.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, elevations, specifications, and construction plans.
  • Coordinate with designers, architects, inspectors, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Pull permits and ensure required inspections are scheduled and completed.
  • Provide guidance to field employees to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor labor and material use while protecting the quality of the finished project.
Scheduling and Administration
  • Assist with building and maintaining project schedules.
  • Confirm that employees and subcontractors know when and where they are expected to work.
  • Track project progress and communicate delays, conflicts, or material issues.
  • Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, subcontractors, and project handoffs.
  • Review subcontractor invoices and employee timecards against completed work.
  • Maintain accurate project notes, photos, schedules, and documentation.
Who We’re Looking For

The right candidate has residential construction or remodeling experience and understands the major phases of a project from demolition through final completion. You should be able to read blueprints, recognize quality workmanship, coordinate multiple projects, and confidently communicate expectations to employees and subcontractors.

We’re looking for someone who notices problems before they become expensive, communicates delays early, takes ownership, and brings organization to fast-moving projects. You should be respectful and approachable while still being comfortable holding others accountable. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation are required. Most importantly, you should care about craftsmanship, efficiency, and providing homeowners with an excellent remodeling experience.
