Job description

Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Scheduling Manager to join our Central Texas team in Austin. This role is critical in supporting project teams through best practices in project controls, including schedule development, performance tracking, procurement monitoring, and implementation of construction technologies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and an effective communicator with a strong background in construction scheduling and project controls. Data Center Work experience a plus!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project schedules across a range of sizes and complexities
  • Lead collaborative preconstruction planning sessions with project teams, subcontractors, designers, and stakeholders
  • Establish, approve, and monitor project baselines in coordination with Field Operations leadership
  • Oversee schedule development, maintenance, and updates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Travel to project sites to facilitate monthly schedule updates with project teams
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure accurate data entry for performance tracking
  • Analyze production data and report on key project performance metrics
  • Prepare monthly portfolio-level schedule summaries highlighting KPIs for regional leadership
  • Support procurement tracking and expediting activities
  • Collaborate with the Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team to align schedules with project models
  • Create visual reports, diagrams, and graphics to communicate project plans, status, and upcoming work
  • Assist Business Development and Marketing with schedules and narratives for proposals
  • Train and support field teams in the use of construction technologies (e.g., Bluebeam, Navisworks, Autodesk Build/PlanGrid, Powerproject)
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency
  • Develop and deliver training programs related to planning, scheduling, and project controls
  • Partner with Project Controls & Analytics and IT teams to support operational needs, tools, and systems
  • Collaborate with Estimating and Preconstruction teams to develop preliminary schedules and communicate project timelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience in the engineering and construction industry
  • Background in project controls, scheduling, and/or VDC/BIM
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with scheduling standards and best practices
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject (preferred)
  • Understanding of procurement processes
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
