What You Can Expect Working in the Project Manager Position
The Project Manager I oversees management and execution from start to finish for assigned projects to support manufacturing for Armoda. In this role, you will review RFQ and bid files to fully understand the scope of work and customer requirements. Once projects are awarded, the Project Manager will oversee the life cycle of the project and coordinate with customers, vendors, sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and logistics teams to execute and deliver the equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget. You will track and monitor progress on projects, ensure material orders are placed and received per schedule requirements, update customers on project status, and meet daily with the Director of Manufacturing. The role will have direct interface with outside sales, drafting, engineering, external vendors, third-party surveyors & regulatory bodies, procurement, manufacturing teams, and logistics.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Reviews RFQ and bid estimates provided by sales to understand complete scope of work.
โ€ข Develops plan for each project to outline responsibilities, schedules, material orders, and action items.
โ€ข Works with Director of Manufacturing & Engineering to review and interpret engineering and drafting documents.
โ€ข Ensures document control process is followed for assigned projects.
โ€ข Hosts pre-construction meeting, kick-off meeting with clients, and reoccurring project update meeting.
โ€ข Updates costing reports and schedules for management, clients, and others.
โ€ข Works with Director of Manufacturing to interface with regulatory bodies, surveyors, and third-party agencies.
โ€ข Provides weekly updates and reports on project status.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Associate degree or higher in Business or related field; or five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
โ€ข 2+ years of construction industry experience.
โ€ข Ability to interpret engineering documents and as-built drawings.
โ€ข Ability to understand basic technical/engineering principles related to modular structures.
โ€ข Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Knowledge or experience with offshore regulatory requirements and codes (ABS, USCG, DNV, Lloyd's, SOLAS, CSC).
โ€ข Experience in engineering or drafting.
โ€ข Experience with modular or offshore construction.
โ€ข Knowledge or understanding of building codes and permitting requirements.
