Job description

Martin Horn Inc., a top-rated Charlottesville contractor with over four decades of experience, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing commercial construction team. We're targeting individuals with at least 5 years of full-time PM experience who are ready to take ownership of complex, high-impact projects ranging from $5 million to $15 million.

You'll manage your own work-with the autonomy to lead and the support of a collaborative team. Our PMs are backed by, a proven process, real-time project cost data, and the daily presence of senior leaders who are in the trenches with you. You'll also mentor an Assistant Project Manager while guiding the full lifecycle of your jobs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead construction projects from precon through punch list, typically $5M-$15M
  • Own client and architect relationships and serve as the main point of contact
  • Oversee project planning, budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, and closeout
  • Use CMiC and internal tools to see where every dollar is, in real time
  • Mentor your assigned APM while collaborating daily with experienced PMs and project executives
  • Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and field teams are aligned and delivering quality work

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years as a full-time commercial Project Manager
  • Track record of delivering successful projects-on time and on budget
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with construction systems and software (CMiC experience a plus)
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling (CPM), submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • A team mindset, a calm presence, and the drive to solve problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience

Compensation

  • $95,000-$110,000+ based on experience
