Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Oversee all project controls including budget, scheduling, efficiencies, documentation and quality.

-Be able to manage multiple projects

Project Management

-Contract compliance: Review the contracts’ scope and specifications and prepare all submittal information and track their approval.

-Design phase: Review shop drawings, confirm compliance with contract documents, prepare Request for Information (RFIs) and incorporate changes.

-Procurement: Prepare requests for proposals, review their cost, negotiate and issue purchase and subcontract agreements. 

-Construction: Prepare and manage construction schedules, daily reports, site pictures, etc.  Attend construction meetings and assist foreman with quality control.  Prepare and track punch lists and submit closeout documents and warranties.

-Coordination of project support staff

-Work closely with contractors

-Visit job sites as needed

-Act as the first point of contact for issues or discrepancies arising / resource

-Attend work regularly and predictably and uphold Company values in all work aspects.

 

 

Qualifications

-Minimum of10 years of experience in project management within the commercial glazing or construction industry.

-Bachelor’s degree in construction management engineering or related field preferred

-Knowledge of glazing systems (curtainwalls, storefronts, etc.)

-Proficient in project management software- Procore and Microsoft Project

-Proficient in Kawneer PartnerPak or similar preferred 

-Proficient in AutoCad preferred

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite preferred

- History of successfully running multiple projects from start to finish

- Problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills needed

-Valid drivers license for travel to job sites

Working Environment

This position is typically performed in an office environment with fairly frequent interruptions requiring focus and the ability to return to tasks.  This position will require you to be on site on some days to check on job performance. Work outside of normal business hours may be required.  From time to time, there may be slightly disagreeable environment aspects but not to a disturbing degree as in heat, noise, etc. from periodic time spent in the plant/production area.  Infrequent business travel including overnight travel requires a valid driver license and acceptable insurability.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear, sit, use his/her hands with coordination and precision to type and use a computer at regular speed and accuracy and see details at close range.  Regular physical demands include standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.  There is infrequent lifting of up to 20 pounds and infrequent vehicle driving for a few hours at a time.
