Job Title
Project/Program Manager
Position Description
We are seeking a Project/Program Manager with strong capabilities to support program and system implementation initiatives within a healthcare and insurance environment. This role combines program management, business analysis, process mapping, system implementation support, process documentation, job-aid development, and end-user training. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, analyzing business processes, translating workflows into system requirements, and helping users successfully adopt new processes and systems.
Roles Responsibilities
• Manage and administer smaller programs or assigned phases of larger programs to ensure activities are completed in alignment with established objectives.
• Assess business and operational needs and coordinate appropriate resources to support program initiatives.
• Monitor program components, milestones, schedules, and deliverables to ensure overall goals and expected benefits are achieved.
• Translate existing process maps and workflows into connections, requirements, and workflows within new systems.
• Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, job aids, workflow documentation, and training materials.
• Create clear and user-friendly job aids to support implementation and adoption of new processes and systems.
• Train and educate team members and end users on new processes, workflows, and system functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current-state processes and translate them into future-state workflows.
• Prepare and maintain program documentation, operational reports, presentations, and other supporting materials.
• Present program results, outcomes, findings, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Recommend and/or implement program and process changes required to achieve business goals and objectives.
• Assist with reporting and file management activities.
• Monitor timelines, deliverables, and program activities to support successful execution.
• Support vendor management and contract administration when applicable, ensuring vendors meet established service-level expectations.
• Assist with budget tracking and expenditure management when applicable.
• Manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Skills
• 3+ years of experience in project management, program management, business analysis, process improvement, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree where required.
• In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of related experience may be considered.
• Experience using Microsoft Visio to create, document, or interpret process flows.
• Strong ability to translate process maps into system workflows and implementation requirements.
• Experience creating job aids, process documentation, and training materials.
• Strong ability to train and teach users on processes and systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Healthcare or insurance industry experience.
Education
• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree where required.
• In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of related experience may be considered.
