What is the mission of the procurement organization?
In an international environment, the mission of the ALE Procurement Organization is to provide all procurement services to its internal business partners for the achievement of ALE goals and targets.
The Procurement Organization manages suppliers, leads the sourcing, negotiation, procurement of products, software, services and solutions, and the related processes on behalf of the ALE and all its affiliates.
While a key objective remains to identify opportunities for cost and cash optimization, procurement is also responsible to uphold ALE purchasing compliance standards, as well as to maximize the interests of the company in any commercial commitments taken with suppliers.
What is my role?
As a Sourcing Procurement Manager, you manage and develop a portfolio of IC Telecom Component suppliers and Original Electronic Manufacturers dedicated to Optics and get them to reach ALE key objectives (such as Cost, Delivery Schedule, Quality… etc.) for the production and development of ALE products.
What am I responsible for?
  • Driving the supplier selection process for new projects, including by conducting audits.
  • Negotiating contracts, amendments and T&C with suppliers.
  • Managing and developing the business relationship with suppliers and getting them continuously improving their performance, including by:
  • the monitoring of the supplier performance and definition and follow-up of action plans to have them improving quarter over quarter: Cost, Operational performances and Quality, in a spirit of mutual benefit for both supplier and ALE,
  • the management of supplier escalation in case of Component shortages at EMS factories,
  • the management of periodic Business Reviews with suppliers.
  • Identifying commercial risks and taking appropriate actions to mitigate the company’s exposure to risks associated with suppliers.
  • Promoting ALE procurement strategy and policies inside the organization.
  • Sourcing of second source suppliers and promote the qualification to R&D
  • Building and maintaining market intelligence in the field of IC Telecom Components and Optics.

  • Are you a graduate of an Engineering school and ideally have a postgraduate diploma in business administration or economics?
  • Do you have 5 to 10 years successful professional experience in the telecommunications industry or in the industry of electronic products and/or electronic manufacturing industry?
