Job description

You are an experienced Project Manager with over 5 years of experience working in multi-disciplinary commercial construction projects, with a strong focus on tenant improvement and special projects. As an integral part of the project team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing project strategies in collaboration with the Senior Project Manager for exciting construction projects. You will support the operations team in maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Promotes Ledcor safety culture on site, ensuring site safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded
  • Manage incident reporting and investigation processes, including documentation, analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Prepare tenant improvement and special project estimates, including design-build projects where applicable, and manage associated engineering deliverables and coordination processes.
  • Oversee project risk management, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and negotiation of contractual risk transfer with clients.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement, including scope development, tendering, bid evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations.
  • Manage contract administration and change management processes, including review, analysis, negotiation, and execution of contract documents and change orders.
  • Establish and implement project controls systems and procedures, including chart of accounts, cost coding structures, cost tracking systems, and project directories for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Develop and maintain project cost reporting, including forecasting, budget tracking, identification of field impacts, and overall cost control management.
  • Manage budgets and deliverables for design consultants, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and financial objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction experience as a Project Manager, specifically with tenant improvement and/or special projects, or in a similar direct managerial / supervisory role
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Valid driver's license and clean abstract
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, current construction practices and methodology; strong understanding of construction costs and budgets in TI or special project settings
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation and management skills, with an in-depth understanding of contract documents
  • Proven ability to build successful teams and promote teamwork through motivating, coaching and consensus-building in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, exchanging information and responding to moderate stakeholder requests
