This role develops deep knowledge of how merchandising, planning, buying, sourcing and product development teams work together, ensuring processes are connected, efficient, and scalable.

The Business Process Specialist leads and supports process improvement initiatives – many of which span across product & additional teams – requiring strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to influence without direct authority. This role will help drive operational excellence & enable teams to execute more effectively.

  • Partner with functional leaders within planning, buying, sourcing & PD to identify improvement opportunities & define future state roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain functional process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive key decisions & measure success based on aligned KPIs
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence
  • Serve as process SME to advocate during cross-functional projects, ensuring that business requirements & impacts are understood.
  • Build strong partnerships with Product teams, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Merchandising & other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, lead working sessions, and manage diverse stakeholder groups to drive consensus.
Project Management
  • Build and manage project plans for process improvement initiatives, including scope definition, resource planning, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Track progress, communicate status to stakeholders and leadership, and elevate challenges when needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals on time and within scope.
Change Management & Adoption
  • Help drive change management activities including communications, training, and support during rollout both internally & externally with vendor partners.
  • Work with leaders and teams to ensure adoption of new processes and system-driven behaviors.
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and drive corrective actions where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline
  • 3 - 7 years experience in process improvement, operations, industrial engineering, supply chain, or relevant functional area
  • Ability to rapidly understand end-to-end business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Retail and/or planning experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical capability & ability to understand & drive decision making based on data
  • Exceptional excel skills – ability to work across different data sources & utilize complex excel formulas to analyze data
