Job description

The Creation Museum Operations Director is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of the Creation Museum. This position leads a team of managers dedicated to creating a world-class, Christ-centered family attraction that impacts guests through life-changing experiences.
The Operations Director is accountable for achieving departmental budget goals, ensuring the efficient operation of the Creation Museum, and overseeing the implementation of projects, operational changes and continuous improvements. This role collaborates closely with other ministry departments, such as Facilities Maintenance, Grounds, Public Safety, IT and Events to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experience.
The Creation Museum Operations Director models and promotes our SERVE Core Values while ensuring that every aspect of the museum's operation reflects and advances the message, mission and biblical worldview of Answers in Genesis in a God-honoring manner.
This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. Responsibilities

  • Coach, develop and hold accountable Operations Managers across Admissions, Guest Services, Culinary, Retail, A-Team and Housekeeping to achieve operational excellence and ministry objectives.
  • Actively develop and maintain a culture that promotes the professional and spiritual growth of team members while encouraging engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide financial stewardship by achieving departmental revenue and expense objectives through strategic planning, performance analysis, and proactive decision making.
  • Focus on efficient utilization of resources and optimal allocation of team members to minimize expenses while maintaining exceptional guest service standards.
  • Partner in the development, execution, and evaluation of departmental strategic plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and long-term goals.
  • Perform continuous evaluation of processes to identify opportunities, prioritize needs and implement improvements to enhance guest experience.
  • Collaborate with Attractions Design, Site Development and Senior Leadership on future attraction growth plans.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships with other Answers in Genesis departments and provide support and input as requested.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture that values staff engagement, recognition and teamwork.
  • And all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams in a complex operational setting.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, customer service excellence, employee engagement and leadership development.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments to achieve organizational objectives and drive operational alignment.
