Job description

The Project Manager will lead and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, manufacturing, or capital projects and possess exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role requires direct engagement with customers, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure project success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, execute, and manage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our customers throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate efforts of cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, purchasing, and production, to meet project objectives.
  • Oversee project risk management, contract changes, and financial aspects, including payments and change orders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and on-site project management support during installation, startup, and commissioning as needed.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
  • Over 3 years of experience in project management within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial automation required.
  • Experience with capital projects, plant builds, or large-scale industrial implementations required.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making and verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar) required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control components preferred.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and electrical schematics preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and vendor management strongly encouraged.
  • Successful experience in customer relationship management and project financial oversight preferred.
