POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, controlling, and evaluating of specific short-term projects which has a beginning, an end, and specific deliverables. The Project Manager is responsible for defining the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management. He is responsible for executing the project according to the project plan and reviewing the quality of the work completed with the project team. He is also responsible for ensuring that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and the required level of quality.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Two to three (2-3) years of experience as in Planning and/or Management or within a related field are preferred. Experience in a hospital setting preferred. Business Degree is desirable. Must be proficient with word processing, simple accounting, data base management, and spreadsheet.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Ensure that all project information is appropriately document and secured.
  • Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completing of the project.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
  • Write reports on the project for senior management and for funders.
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly).
  • Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Define the scope of the project with senior management.
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in agreements.
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
