Project Manager

Traffic Control Devices is seeking a Project Manager to assist with organizational and project responsibilities to effectively lead the project and construction team in the industries of the ITS, signing, signalization and lighting projects.

Job Type: Full-Time +, Non-Exempt

Pay: Competitive, Salaried

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and schedule crews, project progression, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with clients, project superintendents, foreman, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline of the projects.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
  • Create schedules for project staff and subcontractors.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Collect data and develop as-builts for projects.
  • Oversee safety operation of working crews.
  • Produce monthly billings and quantity tracking.
  • Access and implement safe work practices
  • Maintains a safe, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards and procedures set forth by Traffic Control Devices
  • Represent Traffic Control Devices at meetings with project stakeholders, vendors and subcontractors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to read and interpret FDOT design construction, standards, drawings and specifications for ITS, signing, signalization and lighting projects.
  • Be familiar with all operations of construction with installation, testing, integration, full operation and acceptance of the project(s).
  • Possess and maintain a valid DL with an active medical card.
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft suite products and Adobe PDF exchange.

Education & Experience:

  • Two-year college degree in construction management, engineering, or other related area or equivalent experience.
  • Business experience preferred.
  • Industry experience is preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervision role or higher.

Pre-Screen:

  • Upon offer, employees may be required to subject and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

  • Driver's License preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Rare: (less than 10%): walking, kneeling, squatting, crawling, seeing distance, climbing on/off a truck, climbing, lifting over 10-50 lbs., depth perception, color vision, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, balancing, lifting up to 10 lbs., lifting up to 50 lbs.
