Title: Accounting Manager

FLSA:  Salary - Exempt

 

Purpose:

The Accounting Manager works with the Controller to oversee daily operations in the accounting department, assist with review and analysis for month end close, assist with audit requests, manage segments of the business, and oversee internal control functions at a company-wide level.    

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

  • Assists with the preparation & review of month end workpapers and reconciliations for Tiffin Group.
  • Assists with daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting items to Thor Corporate (including operational information and tax reporting).
  • Oversight of fixed assets, capital projects budget, related asset audits, and related internal controls including working with the facilities team regarding ongoing projects.
  • Oversight of property tax return filings
  • Assists with segment reporting and financial analysis for internal operations and management team
  • Oversees daily transactions and questions arising from various segments of the business
  • Manages the daily operations of the accounts payable function of the department
  • Assists with oversight of internal controls and SOX compliance.
  • Assists with information requests from both internal and external auditors for Internal Control & Financial Statement Audits.
  • Manages staff in the accounting department
  • Manages various project specific tasks as necessary


 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required (Master's Degree in accounting and/or CPA License preferred)
  • Knowledge of GAAP, PCAOB, SEC Regulations, and SOX Compliance.  
  • Exceptional financial statement analytical skills
  • Prior experience with manufacturing & standard cost accounting
  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting
  • Proficient with excel (SAP experience preferred)
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually and on teams
  • Prior experience managing & reviewing staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make deadlines
  • Demonstrates good judgment; approachable and professional; solid problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks; self-motivated; well organized

Tiffin prefers prior experience. We will train the right individuals who demonstrate strong work ethic and can adhere to quality standards, policies, and work safely.
