Job Description

The Project Manager should be familiar with retail merchandising and will be focused on driving the execution of high-impact retail merchandising deliverables. This role will ensure project work across multiple product categories and retailย environments is flawlessly implemented by our in-house retail studio.ย You willย partner with creative, production, and QA teams to prioritize work, balance shifting priorities, and manage project dependencies in a fast-paced environment.ย 

As the Project Manager, you willย be responsible forย managing workflow of assigned projects,ย includingย timeline development and management,ย facilitatingย project workflow, and project tracking. You will playย an importantย roleย in ensuring projectsย are deliveredย efficiently while continuouslyย supportingย process optimization andย innovation.ย 

You will collaborate with dedicated creative,ย productionย and quality assurance teams, as well as work closely with agency leads and client stakeholders. This is a terrific opportunity to work with a blue-chip client!ย ย 

Responsibilities
  • Manage small to mid-sized retail merchandising projects that sit within a broaderย programย umbrella. Projects focus on developing, iterating, and distributing retail store planograms at large scale volumes, with a strong focus on product-driven updates. The teamย is responsible forย developingย detailed schematics thatย determineย where and how products should be displayed on tables,ย shelvesย and fixtures.ย 

  • Drive end-to-end project execution from intake through final delivery, ensuring timelines, dependencies, approvals, and milestones are proactively managed across multiple concurrent initiatives.ย 

  • Set clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams accountable for work, communicating clearly to theย teamย and providing proper materials/documentation when necessary.ย 

  • Expert in cross-functional stakeholder managementย 

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and client stakeholders,ย facilitatingย status meetings, documenting action items, and ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and delivery expectations.ย 

  • Provide ongoing monitoring of progress such as project status, issue resolution, task and allocation management, and timeline tracking; consult with team and adjust as needed.ย 

  • Identifyย opportunities to improve workflows, intake processes, resourcing visibility, and operational efficiencies to support a high-volume production environment.ย 

  • Exceptional attention to detail is crucial to ensure all aspects of the planograms are accurately implemented andย maintained. This includes managing inventory, understanding product placement, and ensuring compliance with established planograms.ย 

  • Previousย exposure toย managingย teams and projects in the retail planning & merchandising space. Youย should have a baselineย familiarityย with:ย ย 

    • How a production team usesย modeling andย renderingย softwareย toย develop retail floor/space diagrams, table/fixture layouts, and product icons.ย 

    • The impact ofย quality assuranceย validatingย that all deliverables meet exacting specifications such as consistency, visual indicators, spacing/sizing, product accuracy, and volume accuracy.ย 

    • How the customer experience in retail affects space planning decisions, to help the team make informed product placement decisions to maximize sales and enhance the overall shopping experience.ย 

    • Business drivers and considerations for merchandising teams, store planning teams, and retail partners worldwide.ย ย 

Qualifications
  • 3-5+years of project management experience in an agency environment managing a high volume of projects aligned to product lifecycles.ย ย 

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.ย 

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in conjunction with workflow steps and internal processes, and the ability to work with and manage distributed global teams.ย ย 

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, trackers, and operational reporting to monitor project health and team progress.ย 

  • Ideally,ย some familiarity withย retail merchandisingย projects focused on planogram development.ย 

  • Experience in theconsumer electronics industry is a plus.ย

ย Compensation Range: USD $60,800.00 - USD $80,000.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.
