The Project Manager is responsible for providing support to the Service Director, Service Team, and customers. Responsibilities include liaising with customers and determine needs, providing clear and precise instructions on the work order for the technician, estimating and scheduling the work required, following through to make sure the work is completed correctly the first time in a timely manner and invoicing and collecting payment in a prompt and timely manner prior to vessels departure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Service Director, Service Team, and customers
  • Determine all needs and act as liaison between customers and Service Director
  • Provide clear and precise instructions on the work order for technicians
  • Estimate and schedule all required work
  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner
  • Generate invoice for all work provided by service departments
  • Collect payment in a timely manner
  • Continuously meets ongoing company goals
  • Available to work overtime when required to meet deadlines

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

  • Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.
  • Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.

Technical and Physical Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5 years' relevant experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service skill required
  • ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferred
  • Ability to ascend and descend a ladder
  • Must carry own tools
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Basic boat handling skills a plus
  • Any skills considered standard that a Project Manager should possess
