Description

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt, Hybrid

At DecisionPoint Technologies, we help organizations perform at their best in the moments that matter by connecting people, data, and technology to enable faster, smarter decisions. We are a leading provider of enterprise mobility, barcoding, data capture, managed services, and operational technology solutions that help customers improve productivity, resiliency, and operational excellence.

Our employees play a critical role in helping some of North America's most recognizable organizations maximize their technology investments, streamline operations, and create exceptional experiences for both employees and customers. Whether you're supporting customers, developing solutions, managing projects, delivering services, or driving innovation, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact for leading organizations across retail, transportation & logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare.

We're looking for a Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. If you're energized by managing large-scale technology rollouts and seeing projects through from kickoff to completion, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee the end-to-end execution of multi-site technology deployment projects, ensuring installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of technology deployment projects from kickoff through implementation and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across multiple customer locations.
  • Coordinate internal teams, third-party field technicians, and cabling partners to ensure successful site execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing project updates, risk assessments, and timely resolution of escalated issues.
  • Monitor project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Review installation documentation, testing results, site photos, and customer sign-offs to verify quality and scope compliance.
  • Track project budgets, technician labor, expenses, and change orders to support project profitability.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Logistics, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status to internal leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of  experience managing technology deployment projects or large-scale, multi-site rollouts.
  • Experience supporting Retail, Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Warehouse, Distribution, or Logistics environments.
  • Working knowledge of technology deployment projects involving:
    • Point of Sale (POS) systems, registers, kiosks, and peripherals
    • Network infrastructure including routers, switches, wireless access points, and structured cabling
    • Mobile computers, barcode scanners, handheld devices, and tablets
    • Wireless infrastructure terminology and deployment concepts
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and hundreds of active sites simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project scheduling tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or CAPM  certification (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with  project management platforms such as NetSuite, IFS, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Experience with  service management platforms such as ServiceNow, ConnectWise, or comparable systems.
  • Previous hands-on field experience supporting technology deployments or infrastructure installations.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be successful in this role by consistently delivering:

  • Technology deployments completed on schedule
  • High first-time installation success with minimal return visits
  • Accurate project documentation and financial tracking
  • Strong customer relationships and communication
  • High stakeholder satisfaction through proactive project leadership

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to work in both onsite and remote environments. The Project Manager must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, participate in virtual and in-person meetings, and travel to customer and deployment sites as needed. While onsite, the role may require standing, walking, and navigating office, retail, warehouse, or other customer environments. Occasional travel and flexible hours may be required to support project deployments and customer needs.
