Your role and responsibilities:

Join ABB as a Business Process Manager specializing in SAP FICO for our Service division, serving as a strategic financial systems expert and business translator between finance, operations, and IS/IT organizations to drive transformational change in cost accounting and controllership processes. You'll have the autonomy to identify breakthrough opportunities in financial process optimization, implement innovative FICO solutions, and shape the future of our financial operations through SAP excellence and automation. You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead SAP FICO excellence across Service plants, optimizing FI/CO processes, cost accounting, product costing, and periodend close while ensuring strong integration with SD, PP, MM, and WM.

  • Drive major FICO improvement initiatives and system implementations, resolving complex financial/controlling issues and delivering bestpractice, scalable solutions across plants.

  • Provide handson training, change leadership, and crossfunctional collaboration to improve financial accuracy, automate processes, and enhance operational performance (30-40% travel).

  • Partner with senior leadership on FICO strategy, data integrity, internal controls, and roadmap development while governing master data and supporting month/yearend close optimization.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Master's Degree with 8 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience; OR High school diploma with 20 years of experience. CPA, CMA, MBA, or SAP certification preferred. SAP S/4HANA experience highly preferred.

  • Expert-level knowledge of SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) with minimum 7-10 years hands-on functional experience in configuration, implementation, and support

  • Deep expertise in SAP CO (Controlling) including product costing, cost center accounting, internal orders, profitability analysis (CO-PA), and variance analysis

  • Strong expertise across SAP FI, MM, PP, SD, and WM, with handson ability to design and implement endtoend solutions in each module.

  • Deep understanding of crossfunctional business processes (ProcuretoPay, OrdertoCash, PlantoProduce, InventorytoLedger) and how financial, material, and production flows integrate across modules.

  • Proven capability in financial accounting and controlling processes, including GL/AP/AR, asset accounting, material valuation, production costing, variance settlement, and periodend close.

  • Proven track record leading mid-to-large scale FICO projects and managing organizational change in manufacturing or industrial service environments

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to explain complex financial and technical concepts to diverse audiences including executives, controllers, plant managers, and end users

  • Comfortable with 30-40% travel to ABB Service plants for on-site training, team support, workshops, go-live activities, and stakeholder meetings
