Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Project Manager position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.

The ideal candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate computer-related and IT infrastructure activities in support of mission systems and services. This role is responsible for day-to-day project execution, long-term planning, and coordination across functional teams to ensure technical solutions, schedules, and deliverables are successfully implemented in accordance with contract requirements.

The Project Manager serves as a key integrator between program managers, technical teams, and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW).

Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager will:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate computer-related activities, including electronic data processing, Information systems, Systems analysis, Computer programming support
  • Perform day-to-day project management while contributing to long-term and strategic planning to ensure future end-user requirements are met
  • Execute horizontal integration planning and interface with multiple functional areas to ensure timely implementation of technical solutions and schedules
  • Manage contract personnel, ensuring high-quality task execution and deliverable completion in compliance with the SOW
  • Provide frequent periodic reports on contractor staffing, project status, and performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for non-routine to moderately complex communication network installation projects
  • Maintain accountability for meeting contractual performance criteria, milestones, and due dates
  • Coordinate activities supporting program managers and technical teams responsible for Service provisioning, Design and installation, Maintenance and billing
  • Track and monitor service orders through completion and system turn-up; prepare required deliverables
  • Develop project estimates for effort, cost, and schedule for complex initiatives
  • Create and maintain Project Management Plans (PjMPs) for IT infrastructure projects
  • Monitor project execution, schedule adherence, and cost performance against approved plans
  • Identify risks, escalate issues, and drive removal of blockers to ensure project success

Skills and Experience

The Project Manager must have:

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
  • 8+ years of progressive experience managing IT infrastructure, enterprise technology, or systems integration projects within the DoD or Intelligence Community
  • At least 5 years leading cross-functional technical teams and managing project cost, schedule, and performance
  • Proven experience managing IT or infrastructure projects in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environment
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Project and program management principles
  • IT infrastructure and enterprise systems
  • Contract performance management and Statement of Work (SOW) compliance
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams
  • Experience managing personnel, schedules, budgets, and project deliverables simultaneously
  • Experience estimating cost, schedule, and level of effort (LOE) for complex IT or infrastructure projects
  • Strong risk management, issue resolution, and escalation experience
  • Experience supporting Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) or other Intelligence Community missions
  • Familiarity with IT service delivery and enterprise infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations

Education and Certifications

The Project Manager must meet the following:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Security Clearance
