Job description

Position Title: Project Manager
The Project Manager position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant civil construction projects while being mentored by experienced leadership. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage project timelines and costs while ensuring high-quality outcomes. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects, including road construction and coastal restoration. Candidates should be prepared for a field-focused role that involves travel to project sites and collaboration with diverse teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment are essential for success in this position.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Oversee full project management from award to closeout
  • Manage estimating and bidding for task orders and projects
  • Utilize Primavera P6 for CPM scheduling and provide monthly updates
  • Implement cost control, value engineering, and QA/QC processes
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and partners as necessary
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, including government agencies
  • Travel to job sites across Louisiana, primarily near Fort Polk

Project Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Experience in heavy civil/horizontal construction project management
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and CPM scheduling
  • Strong estimating skills, including cost takeoffs and pricing
  • Ability to manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and compliance tracking
  • Flexibility to work onsite and adapt to project needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster internal and external partnerships
  • Familiarity with USACE processes and federal contracting/task orders is preferred
  • Knowledge of stormwater, coastal, and 404 permits is preferred
  • Experience in marine debris removal and dredging is preferred
  • Experience coordinating vetted subcontractor-partners is preferred
