We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our commercial glazing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates for commercial glass and façade projects.
The ideal candidate has experience reading construction documents, understanding glazing systems, coordinating vendor pricing, and managing multiple bid opportunities simultaneously. This individual will work closely with customers, general contractors, vendors, project managers, and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and successful project handoffs.

Key Responsibilities:
Estimating & Bid Preparation:
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for commercial glazing systems including curtain wall, storefront, entrances, and glass packages
  • Prepare accurate project estimates and bid proposals
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities
  • Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records
Project Coordination & Handoff:
  • Coordinate with project managers and operations teams during project turnover
  • Assist with clarifications, revisions, and pricing updates throughout the bidding process
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and internal project reviews
  • Ensure awarded projects are accurately transferred into production and project management workflows
Customer & Vendor Communication:
  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, suppliers, architects, and customers
  • Respond to bid requests, RFIs, and scope clarifications in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to support scheduling and procurement efforts
Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
  • Work closely with sales, drafting, project management, and field teams
  • Assist in refining estimating processes, templates, and workflows
  • Support a collaborative culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and customer service

Qualifications:
  • 2–5+ years of estimating experience in commercial glazing, construction, or building materials preferred
  • Knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, entrances, and commercial glass systems strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Procore, or GDS is a plus
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
