Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology initiatives across the organization.
This role will partner closely with engineering, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of both near-term technology projects and longer-term Technology Operations initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management discipline, technical fluency, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party vendors in a fast-paced environment.
The Technical Project Manager will help drive operational maturity while ensuring projects remain aligned with business, security, compliance, and technology objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and implementation of technical projects, including multiyear Technology Operations initiatives involving areas such as patching, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clearly defined project plans and actionable workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps, schedules, and plans to track milestones, dependencies, resources, and overall progress.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs while maintaining alignment with business priorities.
  • Coordinate internal technical resources, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, including supporting tool evaluations and implementations for monitoring, automated patching, and backup/recovery solutions.
  • Partner with technical teams throughout development, testing, deployment, launch, and ongoing support phases.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate project performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular project status updates and escalate significant risks, issues, and delays to management as appropriate.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and support timely delivery.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, roadmaps, and executive-level summaries.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably within a technical or technology-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented and process-focused with strong follow-through.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional technical and business teams.
  • Experience managing and collaborating with third-party vendors.
  • Knowledge of SaaS platforms and familiarity with cloud technologies preferred.

Compensation: $115,000 to $135,000 annually
Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
