  • Drive requirements gathering, scope definition, prioritization, and timeline management.
  • Coordinate across Data Engineering, BI Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Provide regular status reporting and executive-ready updates.
  • Understanding data models/schemas and performing hands-on data analysis with various toolsets (e.g. SQL)
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise data strategy and governance standards.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Partner with business sponsors to understand short- and long-term needs.
  • Translate business objectives into clear, structured functional requirements.
  • Create documentation including BRDs, user stories, process flows, and wireframes.
  • Conduct hands-on data analysis to validate business rules and logic.
  • Define KPIs, metrics, and reporting frameworks aligned to business goals.
  • Support evolution and enhancement of existing dashboards and reporting assets.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years hands on experience capturing requirements from the business and transforming them into data and reporting solutions
  •  3-5+ years leading data/reporting initiatives or acting as project lead for BI solutions.
  • Familiarity with MicroStrategy (Strategy) or similar BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reporting and communicating with senior leadership.
  • Experience in the Legal and/or Financial Services industry strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of BI governance, reporting standards, and data stewardship principles.
