Superintendent – Pump Stations (Mechanical Focus)
Location: Langley, BC (Projects across Greater Vancouver)
Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 + Company Truck & Gas Card + 4 Weeks Vacation
About the Company
Our client is a reputable civil contractor based in Langley, delivering complex municipal infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland. They have a strong track record in pump stations, utilities, and underground works, with a growing pipeline of technically demanding projects.
Position Overview
They are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong mechanical focus to lead the delivery of pump station construction and upgrades across Greater Vancouver.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both civil and mechanical scopes, with particular strength in the installation and coordination of mechanical systems such as pumps, piping, and related infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site operations for pump station projects, from excavation through to commissioning
- Oversee mechanical installation, including pumps, valves, piping systems, and related equipment
- Coordinate civil and mechanical scopes to ensure seamless execution
- Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and specialty trades
- Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, and mechanical contractors
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Manage site logistics, sequencing, and resource allocation
- Drive quality control, particularly around mechanical installation and commissioning standards
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and turnover processes
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as a Superintendent in civil or infrastructure construction
- Strong experience with pump stations, water/wastewater, or mechanical infrastructure projects
- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems (pumps, piping, valves, controls coordination)
- Experience coordinating mechanical and civil scopes on complex builds
- Proven leadership managing crews and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of project scheduling and sequencing
- Experience working with municipalities in the Lower Mainland is an asset
