Job description

PROJECT MANAGER / SUPERINTENDENT – LANDSCAPING & CONSTRUCTION

Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Superintendent to manage landscaping and construction projects while overseeing daily field operations from start to completion.

This position requires a hands-on individual capable of managing project schedules, budgets, crews, subcontractors, materials, and jobsite operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and according to plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage landscaping and construction projects from start to completion.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors.
  • Review project scopes, contracts, proposals, plans, and specifications.
  • Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and coordinate manpower between projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, labor hours, materials, productivity, and overall profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify quality, progress, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve field and project issues before they impact the schedule or budget.
  • Coordinate directly with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and company management.
  • Review change orders, additional work, and field changes before proceeding.
  • Ensure work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, project documentation, progress updates, and job records.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower required to maintain production.
  • Ensure proper use and care of company equipment and materials.
  • Enforce company safety policies and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Work closely with estimating, accounting, and operations departments.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide management with regular updates regarding schedule, manpower, materials, costs, and potential issues.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in landscaping, construction, or related project management/field supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial landscaping and construction operations.
  • Strong leadership and crew-management skills.
  • Ability to manage both field operations and administrative project responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, contracts, and project scopes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and make timely decisions in the field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Experience with commercial landscaping, irrigation, hardscape, maintenance, or FDOT projects is a plus.
