Job description

Project Manager, Sports & Entertainment (Onsite 5 days per week)

Overview:

The Project Manager, Sports & Entertainment will lead the end-to-end execution of high-impact initiatives across the Sports & Entertainment vertical, reporting to the Sr. Director of Sports & Entertainment. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional (XFN) alignment, building scalable workflows, and ensuring seamless execution of strategic projects across Marketing, Partnerships, Legal, Finance, Product, and Creative teams. The Project Manager serves as the operational backbone of the vertical, translating strategy into structured execution plans, maintaining visibility across stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with measurable impact. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-paced environments, particularly within sports, entertainment, or live-event driven ecosystems.

The impact you'll make:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for Sports & Entertainment initiatives, from planning through execution and post-launch analysis.
  • Build and maintain clear project roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and optimize scalable workflows that ensure operational efficiency and repeatable execution across campaigns and activations.
  • Drive cross-functional (XFN) alignment across Marketing, Social, Partnerships, Legal, Finance, Creative, and Product teams.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies early, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain clear stakeholder communication, including status updates, executive reporting, and project documentation.
  • Develop standardized processes for talent activations, sponsorship campaigns, live events, and partnership launches.
  • Track budgets, resource allocation, and financial approvals in partnership with Finance and leadership.
  • Measure project performance and develop post-mortem analyses with actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Support long-term strategic planning by translating business objectives into structured execution frameworks.

What you've accomplished:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5+ years of experience in program management, project management, or operations within sports, entertainment, media, or marketing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Monday.com, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.).
  • Experience building workflows and process documentation from the ground up.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Bonus points: 

  • Experience supporting live events, sponsorship activations, or talent-driven campaigns.
  • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience working within a technology, digital media, or high-growth startup environment.
  • Familiarity with sports marketing, entertainment partnerships, and digital campaign execution.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in performance reporting and ROI analysis.
  • Comfort presenting to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

The base pay range for this position is $77,000 - $84,448 per year
