Who We Are Looking For:
Our preferred candidate will have prior experience in the AEC industry, and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities.
What Your Day Could Consist Of:
  • Deliver architectural projects from conception through construction.
  • Research code requirements and ensure feasibility of design solutions.
  • Manage project budget, work plan, consultants, and schedule.
  • Communicate key deliverable dates with the Project Manager.
  • Develop design solutions to meet client specifications and propose budget and time estimates.
  • Maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team (Project Designer, Project Manager, and Principal in Charge).
  • Act as an intermediary between the client and the architectural team.
  • Foster ongoing communication through team meetings, minutes, and update memos to the project team, including consultants.
  • Ensure project documentation complies with Populous policy standards.
  • Coordinate team efforts to complete projects promptly and successfully while adhering to schedules and budgets.
  • Oversee construction administration, including processing submittals, RFIs, and other project documentation during construction.
  • Provide office leadership, including coaching and mentoring staff for professional development.
  • Consistently review work and communicate needs and concerns to project staff.
  • Define staff requirements for projects as n489eeded or directed.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements For Success:
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Expertise in guiding design, construction methodology, material applications, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
  • Solid understanding of architectural building systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budget management.
  • Advanced understanding of sustainability practices, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with Newforma preferred.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive personality.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) from an accredited program.
  • 7+ years of professional architectural experience.
  • Registered Architect with a current license.
  • NCARB registration preferred.
  • LEED is not required, but a plus.
Additional Details:
  • Travel will be required.
Compensation:
  • The projected salary range for this opportunity is $89,000 - $110,000, annually, and may be more or less depending on skills, experience and education.
