Job description

 

A Project Engineer, commonly known as Construction Project Manager, is responsible for schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for all assigned projects and other technical activities relating to the building project. They will oversee performance management of all facility projects. The Project Engineer must be available to help United Service teams on tasks and other items that may come their way that pertain to facilities operation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Manage building construction projects, progress, and schedule
  • Review design and bidding documents from architect, mechanical, and electrical engineers
  • Evaluate contractor bids
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
  • Address any issues that arise during construction
  • Supervise all assigned construction projects
  • Evaluate project performance, producing weekly updates for stakeholders
  • Maintain project database
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be familiar around the computer. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Building Envelope knowledge is preferred
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent
  • Must have good communications skills for internal/external clients
  • Problem solving skills are essential to making sound decisions to keep projects on schedule and in budget
  • Report and escalate to leadership as needed
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Be a self-starter with strong independent work ethic
  • Ability to work well with large diverse teams
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Translate requirements into tasks
