Job description

Traveling JW Electricians with valid Michigan state licenses. 

  • JW Electricians: $64.19/HR
  • $100/daily per diem (Days Worked)
  • Must have experience with new electrical installs
  • Michigan State license required- Any License Qualifies

Day in the Life 

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions or equipment failures on-site.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Must be able to bend and install pipe

  • Proficient in bending conduit

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical systems for construction or renovation projects.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on electrical components and systems.

  • Test electrical systems using specialized tools (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc.).

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate work completion.

  • Document all work performed, including repairs, replacements, and system updates.

  • Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and industry regulations.

  • Provide field reports and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 Must have experience in large scale commercial and industrial projects such as Data Centers, Large Distribution Centers, and/or Battery Plants.

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Trade school diploma/certification preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience performing work in the field setting. 

  • Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Open to learning new skills and willingly accepts feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Dedicated team player with strong customer service orientation.
