Position Responsibilities: Design a comprehensive configuration management strategy that supports the entire control system lifecycle. Formulate and implement a comprehensive validation strategy covering control software parameters, features, attributes, and XML files. Create and release distinct control parameter sets and configuration files tailored to specific wind turbine models and operating conditions. Manage and update configuration-specific parameter sets within the Corella PLM, ensuring all changes are tracked and maintained. Conduct rigorous validation of control parameters using Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulations to verify Wind Turbine behavior in a virtual environment. Execute performance tests on control parameters under one or more
diverse wind profiles. Utilize engineering tools, such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Toolbox ST, to evaluate controller parameter performance and determine optimal values based on test results. Actively involve in Controls Parameter Release planning, product catalog grooming and daily scrums. Serve as a liaison with Controls System Integration Leaders and other project stakeholders for requirements analysis, estimation, design, and validation. Guarantee that all new and existing controls configurations meet established quality assurance standards before release.
Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Control Systems; Matlab/Simulink; Software-in-Loop Simulations; Configuration Management; Wind Turbine Technology; Verification & Validation; Requirements Analysis; Product Lifecycle Management; Process Optimization & Project Management. Travel to unanticipated client locations, throughout the U.S., approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
