Location: Spokane, WA

About the Opportunity

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in the Spokane, Washington area. This individual will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved. Projects may include earthwork, underground utilities, roadway construction, site development, bridges, concrete, and public infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to join a stable organization with a strong backlog of work and opportunities for long-term growth.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from award through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
  • Monitor project costs, productivity, and profitability.
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and other project staff.
Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Proven experience managing projects involving one or more of the following:
    • Earthwork
    • Underground Utilities
    • Roadway & Highway Construction
    • Site Development
    • Concrete Structures
    • Public Infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
