Key responsibilities

  • Picking up and delivering materials, tools, and supplies between suppliers, the shop, and job sites

  • Helping load, unload, organize, and move materials and assisting carpenters with general labour and job-site tasks

  • Helping with demolition, cleanup, and preparing work areas

Job description

We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a job, we’re looking for someone who wants to build experience in restoration and construction.

We handle floods, fires, and rebuilds, so the work is hands-on, fast-paced, and always changing.

This role is all about keeping our carpenters moving. You’ll be the person picking up materials, getting supplies where they need to go, helping out on site, and jumping in wherever an extra set of hands is needed.

If you like staying busy, being on the move, working with a good crew, and don’t mind doing a little bit of everything, you’ll fit in well here.

What the job actually looks like

This is a hands-on support role where your day can change depending on what our carpenters and job sites need. You’ll be:

  • Picking up and delivering materials, tools, and supplies between suppliers, our shop, and job sites
  • Keeping carpenters supplied with the materials and items they need to keep jobs moving
  • Helping load, unload, organize, and move materials
  • Assisting carpenters with general labour and job-site tasks
  • Helping with demolition, cleanup, and preparing work areas
  • Keeping company vehicles, job sites, and work areas organized
  • Jumping in wherever the carpenters need an extra set of hands
  • Following direction from carpenters and Project Managers and adapting as priorities change

Some days you might spend a good part of the day making runs and keeping everyone supplied. Other days you might spend more time working alongside the carpenters on site. You need to be comfortable with both.

What you get

  • Full-time position
  • Typical 40-hour work week, however, 40 hours are not guaranteed every week and there may be occasional weeks with fewer hours depending on workload
  • Competitive hourly wage + overtime
  • Extended health & dental benefits
  • Vacation pay
  • Work shirts provided (steel toe boots required)
  • Company vehicle for work-related driving
  • Training and opportunity to build restoration and construction experience, including training on our documentation apps (DocuSketch and Encircle)

☀️We take care of our crew

This is physical work, especially in the Okanagan heat. We make sure you’re set up for it:

  • Hydration kits (coolers with water, Gatorade, ice packs)
  • Snacks and protein bars available
  • Proper equipment and support to do the job safely
  • You’re not just a number, we’re a tight team, not a big corporate operation
  • A team that looks out for each other on long or tough days

We don’t expect people to grind through extreme conditions without support.

What makes someone successful here

  • Shows up on time and can be counted on
  • Comfortable staying busy and doing whatever needs to be done
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, loading, and moving materials
  • Has a good attitude and is willing to jump in and help
  • Can work independently when making deliveries or supplier runs
  • Works well with a team and communicates well with the people around them
  • Comfortable with changing priorities and not knowing exactly what the day will look like
  • Takes pride in keeping things organized and getting things where they need to go

What you’ll need

  • Valid BC Driver’s Licence (clean abstract required) and ability to drive 20 ft cube trucks
  • Ability to pass a criminal record check
  • Ability to safely lift and carry materials and equipment
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Construction, restoration, or general labour experience is an asset, but not required
  • Experience driving a 20 ft cube truck or similar is an asset

Apply

If you’re looking for a job where you can work hard, be part of a solid team, and build a future, we’d like to hear from you.
