Job Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. The Project Manager serves as a key point of contact among clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects from initial planning through project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and work plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and other project documents.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams.
• Prepare and manage subcontractor and vendor scopes, bids, contracts, and purchase orders.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, change orders, billing, and financial performance.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Conduct or participate in project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and action items.
• Work closely with superintendents and field personnel to coordinate construction activities and resolve issues.
• Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays, conflicts, and corrective actions.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, building codes, permits, and quality requirements.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide regular project status updates.
• Review subcontractor invoices, applications for payment, and project cost reports.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, punch-list activities, and final completion.
• Manage project closeout, including warranties, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and final documentation.
• Support estimating, pre-construction, and business development activities as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of construction project management or related experience, depending on project complexity.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, contracts, and industry practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, change orders, and documentation.
• Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project-management software.
• Experience with platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CCM, LEED, OSHA 30, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience managing commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, institutional, or civil construction projects.
• Experience managing projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of project financial controls, forecasting, and cost-to-complete reporting.

Working Conditions

This position requires a combination of office and active construction-site work. The Construction Project Manager may be required to travel between project locations, attend site meetings, walk active construction areas, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and occasionally work outside normal business hours to meet project requirements.
