Job Description:
Satair is looking for a Logistics Project Manager to join our team in Dulles, VA.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing global standards for our industrial environment. This includes leading regional projects for warehouse space development, introducing best-fit storage and transportation systems, and ensuring the adoption of standardized material handling equipment and material flows. You will work closely with global teams and local stakeholders to translate global plans into local actions, providing essential forecasts and analysis to align regional capacity with our evolving business needs.
Meet the Team:
In support of Warehouse Operations, our team members support everything from receiving to packing and shipping of materials. The warehouse is at the core of our operations, assuring that Team Airbus members and our customers get the materials they need to be successful.
Your Working Environment:
Located minutes away from the Washington Dulles International Airport, and approximately 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, this site serves as our major parts distribution hub in the Americas. The facility is a 24/7 fulfillment center, with an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support desk, and Quality Assurance (QA) operations. To best support our customers, our 20,000-square-foot warehouse features a brand new technology called Autostore, aiming at increasing productivity.

Your Challenges:
Primary Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution (60%)
  • Lead and execute high-impact logistics projects aimed at the continuous improvement and standardization of our 10 global warehouses, transportation networks, and repair activities.
  • Drive the physical transformation of our sites by managing space development, layout optimization, and material flow design.
  • Implement modern solutions by overseeing the selection and introduction of best-in-class storage systems, transportation technologies, and material handling equipment.

Strategic Planning & Standardization (20%)
  • Architect and define global standards for material handling equipment, warehouse processes, and material flows to ensure consistency and excellence across all sites.
  • Support the global capacity planning process, conducting forecasts and analysis to align our warehouse footprint and capabilities with future business needs.

Stakeholder Management & Communication (15%)
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including commercial, supply chain, and local site leadership, to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage communication and report on project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.

  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.

Experience:
Required
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in a logistics, supply chain, or industrial engineering environment.
  • Expertise in end-to-end project management, from initiation and planning through to monitoring, control, and closing.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and improving warehouse material flows, storage systems, and material handling equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling business cases, lead milestone/gate reviews, and manage project financials.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional and transnational project teams within a complex matrix organization.

Preferred
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.

Travel Required:
  • 15% Domestic and International

Citizenship:
