Job description

Construction Project Manager
McLeod Contracting & Design LLC

Location: Northwest Florida (Navassee, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola & surrounding areas)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Build Projects You'll Be Proud Of.
McLeod Contracting & Design is a growing design-build residential and commercial contractor seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through final completion.
We're looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates exceptionally well, solves problems before they become issues, and is passionate about delivering quality craftsmanship and an outstanding client experience.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee multiple residential construction projects from preconstruction through final completion while ensuring every project reflects the quality and reputation of McLeod Contracting & Design.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage high-end residential remodeling, additions, and custom construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain project schedules that keep work moving efficiently
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal team members
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to company standards
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Manage project budgets, change orders, and cost tracking
  • Obtain permits and coordinate inspections
  • Communicate proactively with homeowners throughout every phase of construction
  • Anticipate challenges and solve problems before they impact schedule or budget
  • Maintain organized project documentation and daily project updates
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest level of quality
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who thrives with autonomy and takes full ownership of their work. You won't be micromanaged—but you will be expected to lead, communicate effectively, and consistently deliver results.
The ideal candidate is:
  • A self-starter who identifies problems and presents solutions
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident leading subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
  • Calm under pressure and capable of making sound decisions
  • Professional when interacting with homeowners, vendors, and team members
  • Committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience
  • Experience managing high-end residential remodels and additions preferred
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and Florida building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or similar project management software is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Career advancement opportunities within a growing company
  • A supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Diverse, high-end residential projects you'll be proud to put your name on
Why McLeod Contracting & Design?
We don't measure success by how many projects we complete—we measure it by the quality of our work and the relationships we build along the way.
We're building a team of professionals who care about craftsmanship, communication, and doing things the right way. If you're looking for a company that trusts its people, values accountability over micromanagement, and gives you the opportunity to grow alongside a respected design-build firm, we'd love to hear from you.
If you're ready to take ownership, lead with confidence, and build projects that stand the test of time, apply today.
