Join a high-performing Ground Engineering and Materials team on Vancouver Island, driving impactful infrastructure and community projects across BC and the Yukon. Based in Nanaimo, you'll leverage national expertise and local insight to deliver critical geotechnical solutions while collaborating with government, First Nations partners, and resource sectors.


Your Impact

  • Lead and deliver geotechnical engineering projects from investigation through to design and construction support
  • Prepare technical studies and reports with clear, actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate across disciplines to support infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, dams, and buildings
  • Share expertise across regions to strengthen technical excellence and innovation
  • Manage geotechnical investigation programs, including subcontractor coordination and tendering support
  • Evaluate complex geotechnical challenges such as settlement, slope stability, liquefaction, and frost effects
  • Oversee field programs including drilling, in-situ testing, and construction monitoring
  • Contribute to successful project delivery aligned with quality, schedule, and budget targets

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with a geotechnical focus
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency with geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, Rocscience)
  • Proven experience managing investigation programs and multidisciplinary projects
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex subsurface conditions and risks
  • Strong understanding of field practices and construction methods
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 - $138,000
MB & ON: $95,000 - $130,800
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 - $124,900
