Job Title: Senior Project Manager / Project Manager (Data Center)

Reporting to: Director, Mission Critical

Department: Electrical Construction

Location: Lubbock, TX

Status: Full-time

We are expanding our data center electrical construction capabilities and seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead our mission critical operations in Lubbock, TX. Responsibilities (All Levels)
  • Lead the full project lifecycle on complex data center electrical construction jobs, from planning through closeout
  • Define project objectives, scopes, budgets, and schedules in coordination with internal teams and client partners
  • Develop and implement project execution plans aligned with CVE standards and client requirements
  • Track and manage labor productivity reports
  • Monitor construction activities and field operations to ensure on-time delivery, quality performance, and adherence to all safety protocols
  • Interface directly with owners, general contractors, engineering partners, and subcontractors
  • Lead the project team, including engineers, procurement, VDC/BIM, and field supervisors to ensure consistent alignment
  • Champion jobsite safety by promoting and enforcing CVE's safety culture, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and all applicable regulations
  • Prepare and manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, closeout packages, and quality tracking logs
  • Oversee financial management, including forecasting, cost tracking, invoicing, and equipment rentals
  • Lead all change order negotiations
  • Negotiate vendor and subcontractor agreements where applicable
  • Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting on project status, resource utilization, and schedule health
Senior Project Manager Additional Responsibilities
  • Oversee, train, and mentor assistant project managers and project managers
  • Serve as primary liaison with client leadership and general contractor on strategic project decisions
  • Lead risk mitigation efforts and complex problem-solving on behalf of the project team
Requirements - Project Manager
  • 5-7 years of electrical project management experience with at least 3 years in data center, mission critical, or large-scale MEP construction
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR journeyman electrician with PM experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project phases, stakeholders, and field personnel across various locations
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, prefabrication strategies, and emerging construction technologies
  • Demonstrated experience forecasting cost and labor and controlling overall project financials
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead teams and build client trust
  • Ability to think proactively, identify and mitigate risk, and maintain momentum in high-paced environments
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software platforms (e.g., Procore, ACC Build, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office)
  • Willingness to relocate to Lubbock, TX for the duration of the assignment
Requirements - Senior Project Manager
  • 8-12 years of electrical project management experience with at least 5 years in data center, mission critical, or large-scale MEP construction
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; OR journeyman electrician with PM experience and equivalent industry experience
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop project management staff
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, prefabrication strategies, and emerging construction technologies
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-million dollar projects with multiple stakeholders and complex scopes
  • Track record of cost and labor forecasting, budget control, and financial project performance
  • Excellent communication and client management skills, with ability to influence at senior levels
  • Strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to identify, mitigate, and prevent project risksProficiency in project management and construction software platforms (e.g., Procore, ACC Build, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office)
  • Willingness to relocate to Lubbock, TX for the duration of the assignment
Preferred Qualifications (Both Levels)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and all applicable safety and electrical construction standards
  • Data center commissioning and client turnover experience
  • Experience with prefabrication and BIM coordination on mission critical projects
  • PMP certification or similar project management credential
