Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing luxury residential and construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional seeking hands-on experience in high-end construction within a collaborative, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Assist in managing multiple residential construction projects simultaneously
- Support scheduling, budgeting, and procurement processes
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients
- Help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Documentation & Administration
- Maintain project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Track project progress, costs, and timelines
- Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and status reports
Field Support
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality of workmanship
- Assist in resolving field issues and coordinating with site supervisors
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
Client & Team Communication
- Support communication between clients, architects, and internal teams
- Help maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and professionalism
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or project coordination (residential experience preferred)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with construction/project management software is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to high-end or custom residential construction
- Familiarity with budgeting, estimating, and scheduling tools
- Experience working with architects and design teams
