At ARC, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. We’re a collaborative team dedicated to building not only structures but also a positive, engaging workplace culture. Our mission goes beyond construction; we strive to create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and where our culture and core values drive everything we do.
Who You Are:
You're a proven leader in the field with a passion for getting things done right the first time. You thrive in fast-moving commercial environments and take pride in running a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. You understand how to motivate subcontractors, manage shifting priorities, and keep a project moving forward—without sacrificing quality or professionalism. You're solution-focused, highly communicative, and comfortable being the go-to person onsite. Above all, you’re someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and knows how to bring a team together to deliver results.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ‘Project Manager’ to lead onsite operations for an upcoming commercial construction project scheduled to begin this fall. This is a long-term opportunity for a highly organized, hands-on leader who knows how to keep crews moving, subcontractors aligned, and quality standards high. If you’re confident running complex builds from the ground up—working in fast-paced commercial environments and coordinating multiple trades—you’ll thrive in this role. This position requires regular travel within the Western New York region.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Leadership amp; Supervision:
  • Lead all onsite construction activities and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Foster a positive, respectful jobsite environment among subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for project teams, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Schedule amp; Progress Management:
  • Develop and maintain short-term lookahead schedules in alignment with the overall project timeline.
  • Monitor progress, proactively identify delays or issues, and implement recovery strategies.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure adherence to all code, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Quality amp; Compliance:
  • Ensure all work meets design intent, quality standards, and technical specifications.
  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and field conditions to resolve constructability issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization across the jobsite in line with safety and performance standards.
Subcontractor amp; Vendor Coordination
  • Review scopes of work and hold subcontractors accountable to performance expectations and project deliverables.
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings to align teams and resolve conflicts early.
  • Verify completion of work for progress billings and punch list sign-offs.
Communication amp; Documentation
  • Maintain accurate daily field reports, logs, and jobsite documentation.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to communicate progress, budget implications, and manpower needs.
  • Support project close-out by leading punch list efforts, coordinating inspections, and collecting as-built information.
Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of project management, or construction management experience in commercial building projects.
  • Position requires regular travel within the Western New York region.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, scopes of work, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ability to manage project schedules and field operations with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with logistics and inspections on multi-trade commercial sites.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using or willingness to learn platforms like Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Project.
  • Must have valid work authorization in the U.S.
  • Note: We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
