Job description

  • Leads assigned programs from project award through launch, and support through end of program.
  • Has thorough understanding, documentation, and attainment of both external clients and internal stakeholders’ requirements for quality, capacity, timing, and product characteristics.
  • Develops from the requirements a clear path with task breakdown, assigned owners, budget, timing, and major milestones.
  • Assess project feasibility by analyzing technology, resource needs, and market demand.
  • Manages proactive customer communications (meetings, reports, etc.) building working relationships with open and honest communication.
  • Anticipates any issues and roadblocks to communicate to internal and external customers.
  • Initiate and obtain approval of Major Expenditure Authorizations (MEAs) for program related equipment and tooling.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF16949, MEC’s APQP and other applicable procedures and policies including completion of gate approvals.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, including weldments, laser cutting, and press brake operations.
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing business processes is required.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification is highly desired.
  • Proficient with MRP systems, Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Time management and interpersonal skills are required.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of project management experience.
Qualifications Education Preferred

Bachelors or better in Business Administration or related field.
