Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The 3PL Operations and Project Manager is responsible for working with all department heads to attain accurate information regarding the status of jobs. This role reports status updates to customers daily. This role is cross-departmental.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain external customer relationships by providing quotes for 3PL fulfillment jobs, leading customer tours, coordinating and leading meetings, and communicating regularly with customers
  • Coordinate and participate in all warehouse management system integrations
  • Oversee receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping of all orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of product to customers
  • Optimize warehouse layout and implement efficient picking and packing procedures
  • Track and maintain accurate inventory levels
  • Manage internal team of forklift drivers and pickers to fill orders daily
  • Receive, organize, and maintain purchase orders from customers for each job
  • Ability to operate inventory warehouse management system(s) effectively, including, but not limited to, creating items, estimates, projects, and BOMs.
  • Attend and lead daily meetings, both with customers and internal teams
  • Maintain tool for tracking status updates and job information for internal use
  • Communicate job updates to appropriate internal teams
  • Provide quality and production teams with all necessary labels, breakouts, and job details as required
  • Assist quality team in approving first article samples prior to production
  • Communicate and resolve questions with customers about jobs from production planning through shipping
  • Create purchase orders and invoices for customers
  • Track, maintain, and report production KPIs to senior management teams daily
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule if necessary
  • Attendance is an essential function of the role

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and combined education and experience
  • 1 years 3PL fulfillment experience
  • 1 year project management experience
  • 3PL warehousing software management experience
  • Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Good arithmetic skills are required
  • General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


Preferred

  • Experience with Extensive 3PL WMS
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Smartsheet experience
