General Manager โ€“ Wrobel Engineering

Position Overview

Wrobel Engineering is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations in a fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong technical background in precision sheet metal fabrication, working knowledge of precision machining, and proven leadership experience. The General Manager will oversee production, drive process improvements, support customer relationships, and ensure company-wide operational excellence. This position reports directly to the President and Vice President.



Key Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

  • Minimum 10 years of precision sheet metal experience, with practical knowledge of precision machining.
  • 5โ€“10 years of management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Graduate of a technical high school with a concentration in metal trades.
  • BS in Business Management strongly preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Team-focused leadership with the ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Strong skills in process development and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on use of ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
  • IT management capabilities related to manufacturing operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Clear focus on customer relations and service excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft business applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to analyze ERP data and convert it into actionable Excel-based reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of technical drawings, fabrication methods for sheet metal and machined components.
  • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience supporting and participating in ISO audits and customer audits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
