Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager / Superintendent hybrid to oversee our work at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This role is primarily project management focused but requires someone who is comfortable being in the field and handling the day-to-day coordination of active projects.

The ideal candidate will serve as SERF's primary representative at the airport, managing ongoing work, coordinating with owners, general contractors, suppliers, and field crews, while ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet our quality and safety standards. During slower periods at the airport, this individual will also assist with managing other local projects throughout the Atlanta area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple airport projects from startup through closeout.
  • Coordinate daily activities with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and airport personnel.
  • Perform regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, productivity, and progress.
  • Attend project meetings and represent SERF professionally with owners, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor project costs and help maintain profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with airport security requirements and all safety regulations.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts when needed.
  • Manage additional local projects during periods of reduced airport workload.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or a combination of both.
  • Experience managing specialty construction, restoration, waterproofing, concrete repair, or similar trades is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with Procore, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling software is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security badging.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

What We're Looking For

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the office and the field. We need a self-starter who can make decisions, solve problems, communicate effectively with clients and crews, and take ownership of projects. Because SERF performs a significant amount of work at the airport, this person will become a key member of our team and play an important role in supporting our continued growth in that market.
