About Large Power Systems Division:
The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is part of Caterpillar's Power & Energy segment. Through this global organization, Caterpillar designs and manufactures large (greater than 18 liters) diesel and natural gas engines, powertrains and key engine systems. LPSD products and solutions support customers across power generation, industrial, marine, oil & gas, rail, services and Cat® machine applications worldwide.
LPSD teams work across regions and functions to deliver safe, reliable and compliant solutions that help solve our customers' toughest challenges.
Role Definition
The Large Power Systems Division currently has an opening for an Application Engineer in the Design to Order (DTO) Project Management team located in Lafayette, IN. In this role you will develop collaborative relationships with engineering teams, customers, dealers, suppliers, and other functional groups to ensure project goals are achieved.
The DTO Project Manager is responsible to manage all activities necessary to meet the customer's expectations for quality, cost, and delivery of a DTO Project. DTO Custom Packages are used on C9-C280 Engine Platforms. These Projects serve the Oil & Gas, Marine and Electric Power Markets. This person will work with Marketing and Dealers to quote and secure custom package orders.
What You Will Do:
  • Project Manage DTO orders to meet delivery, quality and cost objectives
  • Communicate to global customers, dealers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
  • Facilitate Customer Witness testing of custom projects.
  • Work with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain to schedule DTO Projects and special testing.

Education and Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to perform complex assignments, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Summary Pay Range:
$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
